Owned by father and daughter team, David and Ashlinn Reid, Stella’s was named in honour of one of our late beloved dogs. We’re a dog friendly café through and through, and we love seeing pups relax with their humans across the road from Lake Ginninderra.

Our menu focuses on simple, delicious café food made for everyday enjoyment. With all day breakfast and brunch classics, relaxed lunch favourites, great coffee, and treats for the whole family, we’ve become a local go to. Dishes like the Potato Stack and Tank’s Breakfast Roll (named after another one of our late cherished dogs) have quickly become crowd pleasers.

Being dog friendly is at the heart of who we are. We provide dog beds, water bowls, and a full pup menu, including puppachinos, donuts, pupcakes, and take home treats, so your best mate is looked after too.

We also host regular dog meet ups and special events, bringing the Canberra dog community together for fun mornings by the lake.

Our commitment to quality has been recognised across the ACT and Australia. We’ve been finalists in the Restaurant & Catering Awards for Excellence for Best Breakfast Restaurant and Café Dining in 2021, 2022 and 2023. We won Café Dining in 2023, 2024 and 2025. At a national level, we were awarded Australia’s Best Breakfast Restaurant and received Silver in Café Dining. We were also named Most Outstanding Café in Canberra in the 2023 Local Business Awards.
